TJT employee Sarah Watkins Carver was recently named as a winner of the 2014 Elijah Watt Sells Award by the American Institute of CPAs. The award is bestowed upon candidates who have obtained a cumulative average score above 95.50 across all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination, passed all four sections of the Examination on their first attempt and completed testing in 2014. A total of 91,384 individuals sat for the Examination nationwide in 2014, with 60 candidates meeting the criteria to receive the Elijah Watt Sells Award. For perspective, Sarah is one of only .0657 % of candidates to receive this award for 2014.
Of her award, Sarah said, “I took the first two parts without really thinking about the award. But after I received my initial scores, I dedicated myself to studying even more diligently for the final two sections knowing that that the Sells award might be a possibility.”
The Elijah Watt Sells Award program was established by the AICPA in 1923 to recognize outstanding performance on the CPA Examination
Sarah began her employment with TJT as an intern and started working as a full-time associate in the summer of 2014. Sarah graduated from NC State with an undergraduate and a Masters degree in Accounting.
The owners and employees of TJT celebrate this accomplishment with her!
